Andrx awards $23M building contract
MORRISVILLE - Andrx Corp.
has sent a $23 million signal that it will fulfill its pledge of
establishing a major presence in the Triangle by awarding a contract in
that amount for the first phase of renovation at the manufacturing plant
it acquired last year from Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Greenville, S.C.-based O'Neal Inc., a planning, design and construction firm with an office in Morrisville, has been hired to renovate the first 70,000 square feet of the 480,000-square-foot building. The first phase will house administrative, warehouse, packaging, laboratory and other support facilities.
