O'Neal Awarded FitesaFiberweb ContractGreenville, SC – September 14, 2009 – O'Neal, Inc., a Greenville-based integrated design and construction firm, announced today it has been awarded a contract for the design and preconstruction of FitesaFiberweb's plant expansion in Simpsonville, SC. As part of the expansion, FitesaFiberweb will build two state-of-the-art manufacturing lines to produce lightweight non-wovens for the hygiene products industry
“We are pleased to be working with the FitesaFiberweb team on their plant expansion project in Simpsonville, SC,” said Randy Chandler, Senior Project Manager with O'Neal. According to Chandler, O'Neal has already begun design and will soon mobilize to begin demolition work.
FitesaFiberweb Simpsonville, Inc. is a recently formed joint venture between Fiberweb PLC, a manufacturer of specialty nonwoven materials, and Petropar, a Brazilian industrial company that operates its nonwovens business through its Fitesa subsidiary. The manufacturing plant is located at 840 SE Main Street in Simpsonville, and will also serve as the corporate headquarters for the FitesaFiberweb partnership.
