Safety

Safety is Our Top Priority

At O'Neal, safety is a core value as our people are our most valuable asset. We are committed to safeguarding project personnel, team members, clients, subcontractors, the public, and the environment when providing our services. O'Neal has created and maintains a culture that promotes a safe work environment.

At no time will the concerns for production outweigh the concerns for the safety, health, and well-being of those involved in the process. All employees, subcontractors, and team members are trained and mentored in safety and are expected to perform their job in a safe manner in accordance with the practices and procedures outlined in O'Neal's Safety and Health Program. Local, state, and federal regulations will be met and are considered the minimum requirements on our projects. O'Neal has implemented a mandatory OSHA 10 training program for all employees. This initiative has resulted in increased awareness of safety and best practices. O'Neal's goal is zero incidents. Safety is paramount in the design, construction, and operation of every project. We will achieve a safe workplace with proper planning, orientation, training, oversight, and documentation.

O'Neal's safety program was recently recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). O'Neal received the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) platinum-level national safety award.

Established more than 20 years ago, ABC's STEP Awards program specifically recognizes construction companies for their achievements in safety training and self-evaluation, including their ongoing efforts to develop a quality safety program.
