O’Neal provided multi-discipline engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for Belgium-based Solvay’s sulfone expansion project in Augusta, GA. The 6.5-acre manufacturing facility produces advanced polymers. The new specialty polymers resin unit allows Solvay to significantly expand its production capacity of PEEK (polyether etherketone).

The new unit is located alongside Solvay Specialty Polymers’ existing resin and monomer production units. The compact area in which the process is located includes 60,000 linear feet of pipe.
